The Holy Quran 2:241 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

وَلِلْمُطَلَّقَـٰتِ مَتَـٰعٌۢ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۖ حَقًّا عَلَى ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Translation

For the divorced woman a provision in kindness is obligatory on those (divorcing husbands) who possess Taqwa.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وللمطلقات متاع من كسوة ونفقة على الوجه المعروف المستحسن شرعًا، حقًا على الذين يخافون الله ويتقونه في أمره ونهيه.
