The Holy Quran 2:238 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

حَـٰفِظُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلصَّلَوَٰتِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱلْوُسْطَىٰ وَقُومُوا۟ لِلَّهِ قَـٰنِتِينَ

Translation

Strictly guard your salaahs (perform them at their correct times), especially the middle one (the Asr salaah) and stand humbly (obediently and silently) before Allaah.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

حافظوا -أيها المسلمون- على الصلوات الخمس المفروضة بالمداومة على أدائها في أوقاتها بشروطها وأركانها وواجباتها، وحافظوا على الصلاة المتوسطة بينها وهي صلاة العصر، وقوموا في صلاتكم مطيعين لله، خاشعين ذليلين.
