The Holy Quran 2:179 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

وَلَكُمْ فِى ٱلْقِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٌ يَـٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

Translation

For you, in Qisaas is (great) life, O people of intelligence, so that you have Taqwa (so that you may fear the punishment for murder and abstain from it and so that you enforce the law of Qisaas).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولكم في تشريع القصاص وتنفيذه حياة آمنة -يا أصحاب العقول السليمة-; رجاء تقوى الله وخشيته بطاعته دائمًا.
