The Holy Quran 2:116 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖ بَل لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّ لَّهُۥ قَـٰنِتُونَ

Translation

They (the Jews, Christians and others) say, "Allaah has taken a son." Allaah is Pure (from any defect and from wanting children)! To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth (because Allaah owns everything, no one can be a relative of His). All are subservient to Him Alone (and they do as He commands).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقالت اليهود والنصارى والمشركون: اتخذ الله لنفسه ولدًا، تنزَّه الله -سبحانه- عن هذا القول الباطل، بل كل مَن في السموات والأرض ملكه وعبيده، وهم جميعًا خاضعون له، مسخَّرون تحت تدبيره.
