The Holy Quran 28:84 — Surah Al-Qasas

Arabic text

مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهَا ۖ وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Translation

Whoever brings a good deed (to the Aakhirah) will receive (a reward) better than that (His reward will be multiplied at least ten times). (On the other hand), Whoever brings a sin, the sinners (evil doers) will be punished only for what they did (their punishment will not be more than they deserve).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

من جاء يوم القيامة بإخلاص التوحيد لله وبالأعمال الصالحة وَفْق ما شرع الله، فله أجر عظيم خير من ذلك، وذلك الخير هو الجنة والنعيم الدائم، ومن جاء بالأعمال السيئة، فلا يُجْزى الذين عملوا السيئات على أعمالهم إلا بما كانوا يعملون.
