The Holy Quran 28:25 — Surah Al-Qasas

Arabic text

فَجَآءَتْهُ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا تَمْشِى عَلَى ٱسْتِحْيَآءٍ قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِى يَدْعُوكَ لِيَجْزِيَكَ أَجْرَ مَا سَقَيْتَ لَنَا ۚ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُۥ وَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَصَصَ قَالَ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ نَجَوْتَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Translation

(As he rested there) One of the two ladies came to him walking bashfully (modestly). She said, "My father is calling you (home) to reward you for watering (our flock) for us. When Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام came to the father and related the stories (of his arrival in Madyan) to him, he (the father) said, "Do not fear. (Here in Madyan) You are safe from the oppressive (unjust) nation (you are safe from Fir'oun because he has no authority here)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فجاءت إحدى المرأتين اللتين سقى لهما تسير إليه في حياء، قالت: إن أبي يدعوك ليعطيك أجر ما سقيت لنا، فمضى موسى معها إلى أبيها، فلما جاء أباها وقصَّ عليه قصصه مع فرعون وقومه، قال له أبوها: لا تَخَفْ نجوت من القوم الظالمين، وهم فرعون وقومه؛ إذ لا سلطان لهم بأرضنا.
