The Holy Quran 27:84 — Surah An-Naml

Arabic text

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِـَٔايَـٰتِى وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا۟ بِهَا عِلْمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Translation

(This will continue) Until the time will come when they will all arrive (before Allaah) and He (Allaah) will ask, “Did you reject My Aayaat without possessing complete knowledge (understanding) of them (without bothering to learn about them) or what were the other actions that you carried out (because of which you will have to suffer punishment today)?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

حتى إذا جاء من كل أمة فوج ممن يكذب بآياتنا فاجتمعوا قال الله: أكذَّبْتم بآياتي التي أنزلتها على رسلي، وبالآيات التي أقمتها دلالة على توحيدي واستحقاقي وحدي للعبادة ولم تحيطوا علمًا ببطلانها، حتى تُعرضوا عنها وتُكَذِّبوا بها، أم أي شيء كنتم تعملون؟ وحقت عليهم كلمة العذاب بسبب ظلمهم وتكذيبهم، فهم لا ينطقون بحجة يدفعون بها عن أنفسهم ما حلَّ بهم من سوء العذاب.
