The Holy Quran 27:73 — Surah An-Naml

Arabic text

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ

Translation

Without doubt your Rabb is Most Bountiful towards people (by not punishing them immediately but gives them time to repent), but most of them are ungrateful (and ask for the punishment instead of mending their ways).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وإنَّ ربك لذو فضل على الناس; بتركه معاجلتهم بالعقوبة على معصيتهم إياه وكفرهم به، ولكن أكثرهم لا يشكرون له على ذلك، فيؤمنوا به ويخلصوا له العبادة.
