The Holy Quran 27:68 — Surah An-Naml

Arabic text

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا هَـٰذَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Translation

"Our forefathers and us have been promised this (that we will be resurrected) from before (long before you). (However, until now we have not seen anyone rise from his grave. This can therefore not be true. We therefore conclude that) These are merely tales (myths) of the old (ancients) men (that lack truth)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لقد وُعدنا هذا البعث نحن وآباؤنا مِن قبل، فلم نر لذلك حقيقة ولم نؤمن به، ما هذا الوعد إلا مما سطَّره الأولون من الأكاذيب في كتبهم وافتروه.
