The Holy Quran 26:157 — Surah Ash-Shu'ara

Arabic text

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِينَ

Translation

However, they (sent one of their ruffians, who) killed (hamstrung, killed by hurling stones with a sling) the camel, but then (they all) grew to regret it (when Allaah's punishment came).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فنحروا الناقة، فأصبحوا متحسرين على ما فعلوا لَمَّا أيقنوا بالعذاب، فلم ينفعهم ندمهم.
