The Holy Quran 26:112 — Surah Ash-Shu'ara

Arabic text

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Translation

He (Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام) said, "Why should I be concerned about their deeds (their occupation)? What difference does their occupations make to their Imaan?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأجابهم نوح عليه السلام بقوله: لست مكلفًا بمعرفة أعمالهم، إنما كُلفت أن أدعوهم إلى الإيمان. والاعتبار بالإيمان لا بالحسب والنسب والحِرف والصنائع.
