The Holy Quran 25:50 — Surah Al-Furqan

Arabic text

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَـٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا

Translation

We have certainly distributed (divided) it (water) between them (creation) so that they (people) take heed (thank Allaah for this great bounty), but most people only wish to be ungrateful.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولقد أنزلنا المطر على أرض دون أخرى؛ ليذكر الذين أنزلنا عليهم المطر نعمة الله عليهم، فيشكروا له، وليذكر الذين مُنعوا منه، فيسارعوا بالتوبة إلى الله -جل وعلا- ليرحمهم ويسقيهم، فأبى أكثر الناس إلا جحودًا لنعمنا عليهم، كقولهم: مطرنا بنَوْء كذا وكذا.
