The Holy Quran 25:47 — Surah Al-Furqan

Arabic text

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًا

Translation

Allaah is the One Who has made the night as a garment (which shrouds the earth and conceals things as clothes do), has made sleep a form of rest and has made the day a time (for people and other creatures) to spread out (on earth in search of their provisions because it is a time when they can see clearly and do much more).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

والله تعالى هو الذي جعل لكم الليل ساترًا لكم بظلامه كما يستركم اللباس، وجعل النوم راحة لأبدانكم، وجعل لكم النهار؛ لتنتشروا في الأرض، وتطلبوا معايشكم.
