The Holy Quran 25:41 — Surah Al-Furqan

Arabic text

وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا

Translation

When they (the Kuffaar) see you (O Rasulullaah) they seek only to mock you (by saying), "Has Allaah sent him as a Rasool (Could Allaah not find someone else with more wealth and higher social standing)?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وإذا رآك هؤلاء المكذبون - أيها الرسول - استهزؤوا بك قائلين: أهذا الذي يزعم أن الله بعثه رسولا إلينا؟ إنه قارب أن يصرفنا عن عبادة أصنامنا بقوة حجته وبيانه، لولا أن ثَبَتْنا على عبادتها، وسوف يعلمون حين يرون ما يستحقون من العذاب: مَن أضل دينًا أهم أم محمد؟
