The Holy Quran 24:32 — Surah An-Nur

Arabic text

وَأَنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْأَيَـٰمَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَآئِكُمْ ۚ إِن يَكُونُوا۟ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Translation

Get the unmarried ones among you married as well as those slave men and slave women who are righteous (and capable of fulfilling the rights of marriage). If they are poor (before marriage) then Allaah will (if He wills) make each of them independent (of receiving financial assistance from others) by His grace (after marriage). Allaah is of ample means, All Knowing.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وزوِّجوا -أيها المؤمنون- مَن لا زوج له من الأحرار والحرائر والصالحين مِن عبيدكم وجواريكم، إن يكن الراغب في الزواج للعفة فقيرًا يغنه الله من واسع رزقه. والله واسع كثير الخير عظيم الفضل، عليم بأحوال عباده.
