The Holy Quran 23:64 — Surah Al-Mu'minun

Arabic text

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِٱلْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْـَٔرُونَ

Translation

(These people will remain engrossed in their kufr and Shirk) Until the time comes when We will seize the affluent ones among them with punishment, they will suddenly plead (for forgiveness).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

حتى إذا أخذنا المترفين وأهل البطر منهم بعذابنا، إذا هم يرفعون أصواتهم يتضرعون مستغيثين.
