The Holy Quran 23:50 — Surah Al-Mu'minun

Arabic text

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥٓ ءَايَةً وَءَاوَيْنَـٰهُمَآ إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ

Translation

And We made the son of Maryam (Isa عليه الصلاة والسلام) and his mother (Maryam) an Aayah (to demonstrate Our power and to prove that We can do things without means) and settled them on such a hill that was habitable and had water (either Damascus, Baytul Maqdas or Ramala).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وجعلنا عيسى بن مريم وأمه علامة دالة على قدرتنا؛ إذ خلقناه من غير أب، وجعلنا لهما مأوى في مكان مرتفع من الأرض، مستوٍ للاستقرار عليه، فيه خصوبة وماء جار ظاهر للعيون.
