The Holy Quran 23:28 — Surah Al-Mu'minun

Arabic text

فَإِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى نَجَّىٰنَا مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Translation

"When you and those with you have boarded the ark, then say (as an expression of gratitude), 'All praise be to Allaah, Who has rescued us from the oppressive (sinful) nation.'"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فإذا علوت السفينة مستقرًا عليها أنت ومن معك آمنين من الغرق، فقل: الحمد لله الذي نجَّانا من القوم الكافرين.
