The Holy Quran 22:44 — Surah Al-Hajj

Arabic text

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ مَدْيَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

Translation

...and the people of Madyan (who also rejected the message of Shu'ayb عليه الصلاة والسلام). Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام was also rejected. (However), We granted respite to the Kuffaar, after which we seized (punished) them. How (severe) was My punishment?
