The Holy Quran 22:26 — Surah Al-Hajj

Arabic text

وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَكَانَ ٱلْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِى شَيْـًٔا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ

Translation

(That time is worth remembering) When We showed Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام the location of the House (the Kabah) saying, "Do not ascribe any as partner to Myself and cleanse My House (from physical dirt and spiritual dirt such as idols) for those who make Tawaaf, those who stand (in salaah), those who bow (in Ruku i.e. the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ) and those who prostrate.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكر -أيها النبي- إذ بَيَّنا لإبراهيم -عليه السلام- مكان البيت، وهيَّأناه له وقد كان غير معروف، وأمرناه ببنائه على تقوى من الله وتوحيده وتطهيره من الكفر والبدع والنجاسات؛ ليكون رحابًا للطائفين به، والقائمين المصلين عنده.
