The Holy Quran 21:9 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

Translation

Then We made true the promise to them (that they will be rescued from the Kuffaar and saved from the punishment that will destroy the Kuffaar), rescued them, (who We desired) and destroyed those who transgressed the limits (the Kuffaar).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ثم أنجزنا للأنبياء وأتباعم ما وعدناهم به من النصر والنجاة، وأهلَكْنا المسرفين على أنفسهم بكفرهم بربهم.
