The Holy Quran 21:84 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِۦ مِن ضُرٍّ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَـٰبِدِينَ

Translation

So We answered his prayer and removed the difficulty that beset him. We then gave him (back) his family (and his wealth) and as many more in addition as a special mercy from Us and as a remembrance for the worshippers (so that by his story people can always remember that patience brings immense rewards).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فاستجبنا له دعاءه، ورفعنا عنه البلاء، ورددنا عليه ما فقده من أهل وولد ومال مضاعفًا، فَعَلْنا به ذلك رحمة منَّا، وليكون قدوة لكل صابر على البلاء، راجٍ رحمة ربه، عابد له.
