The Holy Quran 21:63 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَـٰذَا فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ يَنطِقُونَ

Translation

He replied, "But (it seems as if) this large one has done it. Ask them (who it was) if they (idols) have the ability to talk."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وتمَّ لإبراهيم ما أراد من إظهار سفههم على مرأى منهم. فقال محتجًا عليهم معرِّضًا بغباوتهم: بل الذي كسَّرها هذا الصنم الكبير، فاسألوا آلهتكم المزعومة عن ذلك، إن كانت تتكلم أو ترد جوابًا.
