The Holy Quran 21:14 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

قَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ

Translation

(When the punishment came to them,) They said, "Woe be to us! We were oppressors (sinners) indeed (we oppressed ourselves by inviting this punishment)!"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فلم يكن لهم من جواب إلا اعترافهم بجرمهم وقولهم: يا هلاكنا، فقد ظلمنا أنفسنا بكفرنا.
