The Holy Quran 21:109 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُلْ ءَاذَنتُكُمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ ۖ وَإِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ

Translation

If they turn away, then say, “I have informed you in a clearly distinct manner (thereby completing my responsibility to you). I have no idea whether what (punishment) you have been promised is nearby or still far off (only Allaah knows when it will take place and whether it will be in this world or in the Aakhirah)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فإن أعرض هؤلاء عن الإسلام فقل لهم: أبلغكم جميعًا ما أوحاه الله تعالى إليَّ، فأنا وأنتم مستوون في العلم لمَّا أنذرتكم وحذرتكم، ولستُ أعلم - بعد ذلك - متى يحل بكم ما وُعِدْتُم به من العذاب؟
