The Holy Quran 19:39 — Surah Maryam

Arabic text

وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Translation

Warn them of the day of remorse (the Day of Qiyaamah when people will regret the wrong they did in this world), when judgement shall be passed (condemning them to Jahannam). Yet (today) they are negligent and do not want to accept Imaan.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وأنذر - أيها الرسول - الناس يوم الندامة حين يُقضى الأمر، ويُجَاءُ بالموت كأنَّه كبش أملح، فيُذْبَح، ويُفصل بين الخلق، فيصير أهل الإيمان إلى الجنة، وأهل الكفر إلى النار، وهم اليوم في هذه الدنيا في غفلة عمَّا أُنذروا به، فهم لا يصدقون، ولا يعملون العمل الصالح.
