The Holy Quran 19:16 — Surah Maryam

Arabic text

وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا

Translation

Mention Maryam (the mother of Isa عليه الصلاة والسلام) in the Book (the Qur'aan). (Mention the time) When she drew away from her family to go to a place far to the east (to take a bath of purity).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكر - أيها الرسول - في هذا القرآن خبر مريم إذ تباعدت عن أهلها، فاتخذت لها مكانًا مما يلي الشرق عنهم.
