The Holy Quran 18:9 — Surah Al-Kahf

Arabic text

أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْكَهْفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا۟ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا عَجَبًا

Translation

Do you think that the people of the cave and the Raqeem were wonders from Our Aayaat? (According to some commentators, the word "Raqeem" refers to a stone tablet on which the incident of the people of the cave was inscribed together with their names. According to others, it was the name of their dog, while others say that it was the name of the place where they lived.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لا تظن -أيها الرسول- أن قصة أصحاب الكهف واللوح الذي كُتِبت فيه أسماؤهم من آياتنا عجيبة وغريبة؛ فإن خلق السموات والأرض وما فيهما أعجب من ذلك.
