The Holy Quran 18:52 — Surah Al-Kahf

Arabic text

وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ نَادُوا۟ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّوْبِقًا

Translation

(Remember) The day (of Qiyaamah) when He (Allaah) will say (to the Mushrikeen), "Call those (gods) whom you regarded to be My partners (to assist you now)." They will then call them, but they (the gods) will not respond to them (because they will be unable to do anything) and We shall place a barrier between them (between the Mushrikeen and their gods. With the barrier in place, they will be even more convinced that they can expect absolutely no assistance from their gods).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكر لهم إذ يقول الله للمشركين يوم القيامة: نادوا شركائي الذين كنتم تزعمون أنهم شركاء لي في العبادة؛ لينصروكم اليوم مني، فاستغاثوا بهم فلم يغيثوهم، وجعلنا بين العابدين والمعبودين مهلكًا في جهنم يهلكون فيه جميعًا.
