The Holy Quran 17:94 — Surah Al-Isra

Arabic text

وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ أَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ بَشَرًا رَّسُولًا

Translation

The only factor that prevented people from accepting Imaan when guidance came to them was that they said, "Has Allaah sent a human as a Rasool?" (However, all the Ambiyaa عليه الصلاة والسلام were humans because they preached to humans.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وما منع الكفارَ من الإيمان بالله ورسوله وطاعتهما، حين جاءهم البيان الكافي من عند الله، إلا قولهم جهلا وإنكارًا: أبعث الله رسولا من جنس البشر؟
