The Holy Quran 17:89 — Surah Al-Isra

Arabic text

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا

Translation

Verily We have fully explained every type of subject matter to mankind in this Qur'aan. However, most people (the Kuffaar) have chosen not to accept (remain ungrateful).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولقد بيَّنَّا ونَوَّعنا للناس في هذا القرآن من كل مثل ينبغي الاعتبار به؛ احتجاجًا بذلك عليهم؛ ليتبعوه ويعملوا به، فأبى أكثر الناس إلا جحودًا للحق وإنكارًا لحجج الله وأدلته.
