The Holy Quran 17:69 — Surah Al-Isra

Arabic text

أَمْ أَمِنتُمْ أَن يُعِيدَكُمْ فِيهِ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ فَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَاصِفًا مِّنَ ٱلرِّيحِ فَيُغْرِقَكُم بِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ ۙ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا۟ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِۦ تَبِيعًا

Translation

Or do you feel secure against Him returning you (to the sea) and then sending a severe windstorm to you (which will sink your vessels) ? Then you will be drowned because of your kufr (not because of any injustice from Us) and you will not find any avenger (to pursue) against Us (because there will be no wrong to redress and none has power against Us).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أم أمنتم -أيها الناس- ربكم، وقد كفرتم به أن يعيدكم في البحر مرة أخرى، فيرسل عليكم ريحًا شديدة، تكسِّر كل ما أتت عليه، فيغرقكم بسبب كفركم، ثم لا تجدوا لكم علينا أي تبعة ومطالبة؛ فإن الله لم يظلمكم مثقال ذرة؟
