The Holy Quran 17:17 — Surah Al-Isra

Arabic text

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ نُوحٍ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًۢا بَصِيرًا

Translation

How many generations have We not destroyed after Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام? Your Rabb suffices as the Knower and Seer of the sins of His slaves. (He knows the wrong they do and exactly why they deserve punishment.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وكثيرا أهلكنا من الأمم المكذبة رسلها مِن بعد نبي الله نوح. وكفى بربك -أيها الرسول- أنه عالم بجميع أعمال عباده، لا تخفى عليه خافية.
