The Holy Quran 17:108 — Surah Al-Isra

Arabic text

وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِن كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًا

Translation

...and they say, 'Pure is our Rabb (He never breaks promises)! Without doubt, the promise of our Rabb has surely come to pass (Allaah promised us in our scriptures that He would reveal the Qur'aan to Muhammad ﷺ and He has done this)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ويقول هؤلاء الذين أوتوا العلم عند سماع القرآن: تنزيهًا لربنا وتبرئة له مما يصفه المشركون به، ما كان وعد الله تعالى من ثواب وعقاب إلا واقعًا حقًا.
