The Holy Quran 16:62 — Surah An-Nahl

Arabic text

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكْرَهُونَ وَتَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفْرَطُونَ

Translation

They assign to Allaah what they dislike (daughters), while their tongues (foolishly) make the false claims that they shall receive goodness (Jannah in the Aakhirah). Without doubt they shall have the Fire (of Jahannam and not Jannah in the Aakhirah), and they will be the first to be condemned (to Jahannam for their false beliefs).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن قبائحهم: أنهم يجعلون لله ما يكرهونه لأنفسهم من البنات، وتقول ألسنتهم كذبًا: إن لهم حسن العاقبة، حقًا أن لهم النار، وأنهم فيها مَتْروكون مَنْسيون.
