The Holy Quran 16:50 — Surah An-Nahl

Arabic text

يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩

Translation

They (the angels) fear the authority of their Rabb and do (precisely) as they are commanded. (One who recites or hears this verse being recited should perform Sajdah.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يخاف الملائكة ربهم الذي هو فوقهم بالذات والقهر وكمال الصفات، ويفعلون ما يُؤْمرون به من طاعة الله. وفي الآية: إثبات صفة العلو والفوقية لله على جميع خلقه، كما يليق بجلاله وكماله.
