The Holy Quran 16:48 — Surah An-Nahl

Arabic text

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ يَتَفَيَّؤُا۟ ظِلَـٰلُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَٱلشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ

Translation

Do they not see the things that Allaah has created, the shadows of which sway to the right and the left (as the sun moves across the sky), prostrating (submitting) to Allaah in humility? (Every creature worships Allaah.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أَعَمِيَ هؤلاء الكفار، فلم ينظروا إلى ما خلق الله من شيء له ظل، كالجبال والأشجار، تميل ظلالها تارة يمينًا وتارة شمالا تبعًا لحركة الشمس نهارًا والقمر ليلا كلها خاضعة لعظمة ربها وجلاله، وهي تحت تسخيره وتدبيره وقهره؟
