The Holy Quran 16:15 — Surah An-Nahl

Arabic text

وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَـٰرًا وَسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

Translation

He cast (placed) mountains on the earth so that it (the earth) does not shake with you and (He placed) rivers and roads (pathways) on earth so that you may find your way (to your destinations).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وأرسى في الأرض جبالا تثبتها حتى لا تميل بكم، وجعل فيها أنهارًا; لتشربوا منها، وجعل فيها طرقًا; لتهتدوا بها في الوصول إلى الأماكن التي تقصدونها.
