The Holy Quran 15:22 — Surah Al-Hijr

Arabic text

وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمْ لَهُۥ بِخَـٰزِنِينَ

Translation

We send the winds that fill the clouds with water, then send water from the sky which We give you to drink. You do not have the ability to store it (man cannot store rain water in as great a quantity as Allaah does when He stores water in lakes, dams, rivers and in underground reservoirs of groundwater where massive quantities of water are stored for people to use whenever they need to).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وأرسلنا الرياح وسخرناها تُلَقِّح السحاب، فيدر بالماء ويمطر، وتلقح الشجر فيتفتح عن أوراقه وأكمامه، وتحمل المطر والخير والنفع، فأنزلنا من السحاب ماء أعددناه لشرابكم وأرضكم ومواشيكم، وما أنتم بقادرين على خزنه وادِّخاره، ولكن نحفظه لكم رحمة بكم، وإحسانًا إليكم.
