The Holy Quran 15:15 — Surah Al-Hijr

Arabic text

لَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَـٰرُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ

Translation

...they will (reject this miracle and) say, "Our eyes have merely been mesmerised (spellbound). Indeed we are a bewitched (spellbound) people." (This is exactly what they would say about any other miracle that a Nabi shows them. It is for this reason that Allaah did not show the Kuffaar the miracles they asked from the Ambiyaa عليه الصلاة والسلام.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولو فتحنا على كفار "مكة" بابًا من السماء فاستمروا صاعدين فيه حتى يشاهدوا ما في السماء من عجائب ملكوت الله، لما صدَّقوا، ولقالوا: سُحِرَتْ أبصارنا، حتى رأينا ما لم نرَ، وما نحن إلا مسحورون في عقولنا من محمد.
