The Holy Quran 12:102 — Surah Yusuf

Arabic text

ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ أَجْمَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَمْكُرُونَ

Translation

This narrative (of Yusuf عليه الصلاة والسلام) is from the accounts of the unseen with which We inspire you (O Muhammad ﷺ). You were not with them (the brothers of Yusuf عليه الصلاة والسلام) when they collectively resolved their affair (to get rid of Yusuf عليه الصلاة والسلام) and when they plotted (about how they would do it). (The fact that Rasulullaah ﷺ knew the details of this story without learning about them from anyone proved that he was Allaah's Rasool to whom Allaah sent revelation.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ذلك المذكور من قصة يوسف هو من أخبار الغيب نخبرك به -أيها الرسول- وحيًا، وما كنت حاضرًا مع إخوة يوسف حين دبَّروا له الإلقاء في البئر، واحتالوا عليه وعلى أبيه. وهذا يدل على صدقك، وأن الله يُوحِي إليك.
