The Holy Quran 11:97 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۖ وَمَآ أَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيدٍ

Translation

to Fir'oun and his ministers. However, (instead of following Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام) they followed the orders of Fir'oun, and the orders of Fir'oun were improper (which led them to their destruction in both worlds).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أرسلنا موسى إلى فرعون وأكابر أتباعه وأشراف قومه، فكفر فرعون وأمر قومه أن يتبعوه، فأطاعوه، وخالفوا أمر موسى، وليس في أمر فرعون رشد ولا هدى، وإنما هو جهل وضلال وكفر وعناد.
