The Holy Quran 11:68 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَآ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا۟ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّثَمُودَ

Translation

...as if they had never existed there. Behold! The Thamud disbelieved (denied) in their Rabb. Behold! May the Thamud be distanced (from Allaah's mercy).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

كأنهم في سرعة زوالهم وفنائهم لم يعيشوا فيها. ألا إن ثمود جحدوا بآيات ربهم وحججه. ألا بُعْدًا لثمود وطردًا لهم من رحمة الله، فما أشقاهم وأذلَّهم!!
