The Holy Quran 11:114 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَىِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْحَسَنَـٰتِ يُذْهِبْنَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّٰكِرِينَ

Translation

Establish salaah at the two ends of the day (with Fajr salaah and Zuhr salaah at the one end and Asr salaah and Maghrib salaah at the other) and during portions of the night (the Isha salaah). Verily good deeds (such as the five Fardh salaah) wipe out evil acts. This is advice to those who will take heed (remember).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وأدِّ الصلاة -أيها النبي- على أتمِّ وجه طَرَفَي النهار في الصباح والمساء، وفي ساعات من الليل. إنَّ فِعْلَ الخيرات يكفِّر الذنوب السالفة ويمحو آثارها، والأمر بإقامة الصلاة وبيان أن الحسنات يذهبن السيئات، موعظة لمن اتعظ بها وتذكر.
