The Holy Quran 10:93 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْقٍ وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

Translation

Indeed We settled the Bani Israa'eel in a pleasant (desirable) abode and provided them with pure things (to eat). They did not differ (concerning the principles and injunctions of their religion) until knowledge (of the various injunctions) came to them. Surely your Rabb shall decide between them on the Day of Judgement concerning that about which they differed (division will always remain).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولقد أنزلنا بني إسرائيل منزلا صالحًا مختارًا في بلاد «الشام» و «مصر» ، ورزقناهم الرزق الحلال الطيب من خيرات الأرض المباركة، فما اختلفوا في أمر دينهم إلا مِن بعد ما جاءهم العلم الموجب لاجتماعهم وائتلافهم، ومن ذلك ما اشتملت عليه التوراة من الإخبار بنبوة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
